Here are some quick tips About MW2. I do not take credit for any of this information its a series of collected information that ive placed here for the sake of helping the players with a few tips.



Five general tips for new players:

1. You can't hurt your teammates in the starting game modes, so if something moves, shoot it.

2. If you're having trouble aiming, use a Riot Shield. It will help you AND your team.

3. Use everything. Equipment, attachments, secondary weapons, etc. When you die
and come back, it will be replenished.

4. Play cautiously. It doesn't take much to kill the enemy, so the element of surprise is your friend.

5. Keep practicing! Dying doesn't penalize you, so try everything and you'll find what works for you.

-Stopping power does not effect the: FN FAL, the WA2000, and it barely effects the UMP .45, the SCAR and TAR.

-When the enemy team in multiplayer activates a EMP, The F2000's and Tar-21 Red Dot Sight will still work.

-Sticking a Semtex grenade to a character holding a riot shield is a good way to take them out from the front without having to flank them.

-Using a flash or stun grenade against players using a riot shields is very effective causing them lower their shields for a moment and opening them up for an attack.

-Aim for the chest or neck region on burst fire assault rifles. For full auto assault rifles, do the same but fire in groups of three to five rounds. Doing this will make the muzzle climb for recoil and give you a second or third round headshot.

-Thermal scopes work great with smoke grenades - enemies show up right through the smoke (unless they have the cold blooded perk!)

-Shoot down a Pavelow helicopter faster by not locking on with the AT-4 (anti-tank weapon); shooting from the hip prevents the Pavelow from using countermeasures.

- If you're not a pro shooter, try playing a support role. In Domination, you could play a runner class, and constantly harass the enemy team by infiltrating their rear field and taking objective points. In this way, you could be one of the most valuable players on the team without doing much killing at all.

- Equip a Stinger as your secondary weapon and watch for enemy aircraft. Your stinger missiles can lock on to them and quickly destroy them. You can even take down enemy UAV (unmanned aerial vehicles) this way.

-You know how IW watered down the Model 1887's akimbo range? Well this can be fixed by merely using Bling Pro on the 1887 with Akimbo and FMJ

-All killstreak awards that shoot bullets(pavelow, harrier etc.) Shoot FMJ rounds.

-Putting a silencer on the FAL reduces its fire rate.

-Also a good way to see through smoke on any map that has windows is to break the window and look through the cracked pieces, guaranteed 100% to work.

-Carepackages cannot stack ontop of each other

-Contrary to popular belief, silencers DO effect visual recoil on almost all guns.

-The Spas-12 shotgun is the most powerful shotgun at long range, other than the 1887's. Even though the stats say the AA-12 has longer range than the Spas-12, it does not.

-UMP .45 and the ACR has no sway with ADS, making it a good weapon to use the ACOG scope with.

-Stopping power does not effect the desert eagle's or .44 magnum's ability to get 2 shot kills.

-Silencers decrease sniper damage from 70 to 50 damage out of a character's full health of 100 at long range. The only sniper rifle the silencer doesn't effect much is the M21 EBR.

-The FN FAL is the strongest bullet shooting gun in the game, apart from Sniper Rifles.

-If you put FMJ on the intervention or barrett you are almost guaranteed a one hit kill no matter where you shoot them.

-Silencers reduce recoil, although VERY slightly. It's the most noticable with a gun that usually has high recoil, like the Scar-H (Thats how I found out) or TAR-21 It also works good with the AK-47 and F2000

-If you put danger close on a class and use a Javelin missle, it will be near equal to the blast range of a predator missile.

- On the map 'Afgan' Landing on the mattresses at the bottom of the cliff prevents the faller from receiving a large amount of damage.

i went ahead and increased the font of the disclaimer so you can actually notice it... i dont think size 4/6 was big enough i guess..
