Post: MW2 newbie question-
12-31-2009, 01:28 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Just got MW2 for Xmas, and this is my first 'shooter' (mostly do flight sims). I'm running Vista 64 and using the stock keyboard & mouse, wondering if I could be faster with some kind of gamepad (or ?). Recommendations? Anyone ever try running MW2 on a joystick (got lots of those!)?.

He typed "Newbie". That is how it's spelled. Noob is just computer slang for newbie.

On topic:
I never liked stock set-up for PC gaming: ESPECIALLY FPS's. One of the best brands to be looking at is definitely Logitech. There G9X is the perfect Mouse for PC Gaming. It has an adjustable weight system, 5000 DPI Laser, and Interchangeable grips. I also recommend a Gaming Pad. It allows quick aiming without over correcting.
For a keyboard, most work fine. I recommend a wireless one so you can position yourself comfortably. If you are intent on a gaming one, the Logitech G15 or better yet the G19 are great. Plenty of onboard memory and programmable macro keys. Both have illuminated LED keys, which are great in poorly lit rooms.

Hope I helped,
