Thought I'd start a montage music thread...

I DID look to see if there was one already, there was but it was made 3 months ago and only had 3 posts so don't flame me about that. ^^


Ok, so please post songs that you think/know [will] go really well with Call of Duty / FPS clips. I'll add all suggestions to this post.

Also, please don't post the typical rock music that features just a guy shouting and a guitar. Try to be a bit more imaginative and post music that you can picture going with a clip in your head (if that makes sense to you lol).

Yes, it is a bit overused but I feel its still one of the best tunes for a short montage / mini-tage.

I don't think any of you will of heard this tune but It's an incredibly good one for a mini-tage of fast moving clips IMO. Some of you might not like this sort of music but everybody to their own I suppose. This is the tune I'm going to use for the preview to my montage but I'm going to cut it to only feature 0:00 - 2:10.

^ Please share your opinions on the 2nd tune because if most of you don't like it, I might have to think twice before using it.. ^

I recommend using "Stayin' Alive" by The Bee-Gees for nuke strategizing. The song could also be used for frequent breaks in the montage or rumbles in it. Otherwise, it's just an awesome song like that.

I also recommend using "Don't Hold Back" by The Sleeping. I know it's just some random guy shouting and playing a guitar, but it seems a bit more than that. If you listen to the lyrics, it seems more inspiring to survive and get that nuke or get those 1000 feet jump 360 quick scope on that crane at Highrise :mudkip:.

I finally recommend music from LBP (LittleBigPlanet). Those songs are REALLY cool. Some feel relaxing (for a fail montage), some are heart-pacing (like your average montage ownage), and some are sounds you like to hear when you just wanna knife someone in the back and say, "AWWWWW, I never felt that good since I got my first kill when I was a noob."

By the way, the second song IS AWESOME! I like how it speeds up and gets more epic by the second. I highly recommend it too. Sometimes, the song reminds me of "Open Your Eyes" by Guano Apes.
