For Hardcore sniping you want to be invisible. If you play normal TDM then i suggest u take of the silencer. they will know where u r with killcam.use FMJ ;P

Primary - M21 with silencer

Secondary - G18 with silencer

Equipment - Claymore

Special Grenade - Smoke

Perk 1 - Scavenger Pro - You start with all the ammo you'll need for the round, and when you kill somebody with your claymore, you just run over their dead body and get another one and plant it again. Keep in mind you can only have 2 claymores out at a time, if you plant a third without someone blowing up either of the two that you have planted, the first one will blow up. If you plant a fourth claymore, the second one will blow up, and so on.

Perk 2 - Cold Blooded Pro - You are invisible to people using thermal scopes, killstreaks such as turrets, helicopters, predators, AC130s, etc., and UAVs. Your name also doesn't appear above your head, so you don't have to worry about being in a spot and somebody just randomly looking at you and not actually seeing you, but seeing your name pop up.

Perk 3 - Ninja Pro - If you don't have Ninja then you are visible to people with a heartbeat sensor, even if you have Cold Blooded on. Having Cold Blooded and not Ninja and vice versa is useless and a waste of two perks. Ninja Pro also lets you run almost silently, people without surround sound or a gaming headset turned up very loudly will not be able to hear you. With my A40s I can hear people without Ninja Pro across the map. Now I know Steady Aim Pro allows you to hold your breath longer, but you get used to the shorter time after you snipe for a while. I was super pissed that they made me choose between being completely invisible and being able to hold my breath for longer, because I used the hell out of Iron Lungs on COD4, but I just got used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore. This is what I use for sniping, and I absolutely rape. Hope this helped!


Pro Tip: When sniping in hardcore, after one-shot killing someone...DO NOT move at all, because when you get killed in hardcore matches the camera then turns to wherever the shot came from. Also try to do one-shot kills, if you miss a shot quickly kill the enemy and find a new spot, i personally find a new spot after killing two to three enemies.
