Heres the IW site announcement:

We've updated the European PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2, including the following fixes:

- Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
- Fix for "infinite care package" exploit.
- Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
- Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
- Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and 'elevators'.
- Fixes to prevent various XP hacks.

However, we are aware of several users reporting freezes once connected to games. We are currently working with SONY to identify the source of this issue. This patch has not yet went live for US-Players on PS3 nor has it went live on Xbox 360 yet.

I really hope that these dumbazzes fix this soon cause they did get A WHOLE lot of money from us consumers for this game. So it's only fair that they keep this game going flawless as far as online play goes for us to enjoy.

I agree, the care package throwing glitch was fun for a few games, then it got old. Then more and more people were doing it and when they started, it was almost impossible to stop the air support, especially in large maps.

Since you guys said in the other thread of having problems with the new patch i'm guessing it's safe to say they won't release the patch for the U.S. untill the problems with the freezing has been resolved right ?? i'm in the U.S. just curious, Thanks.

Well I'm not sure if all the people that reported problems are from Europe only. Hopefully we (U.S.) won't have the same problems.

I assume they're not going to release to US until the problems are fix. That would at least be the reasonable thing to do. We all know IW, Activison and sony are reasonable. Smile
