(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok, I have a relative coming over next week with his PS3 and we want to set up both consoles to their own TV, but, I only have one internet connection. I want to know if we both can connect to MW2 online using the same connection? I have a Linksys WRT54G router.
Has any1 tried this? is it possible? or we'll have to take turns or private match only:confused:

PS - I'ts not for boostin -

thanks

Do a barrel roll!
Just use Wireless? All routers support wireless support [unless yours is a really old cheap ass router]

Just configure the settings to let your PS3 connect to the network, and it'll work.

I'm guessing with a wireless router you should both be able to connect and play.

I tried it once with COD4 with no luck. I could get both ps3 connected to the router but when we both tried to get to a lobby one of us got kicked.

I never tried, but I heard of a MW2 booster who uses like 4 or 6 ps3s to boost his stats.
I repeat: I read this somewhere (maybe on this forum? not sure), I don't know if it's true..

They connect fine to the router. different ip to each. prob is getting in a game. one of us is kicked.

I saw somewhere something about the router getting just 1 ip address thus it won't know which packet goes to which ps3 in a game.

I don't see how it wouldn't work unless there is some hardware issue, because the game itself can not tell if both PS3'S are on the same connection. I could be wrong, but I remember having my PS3 & PS2 online in different games at the same time. However, I have never tested it with the same game so feel free to correct me either way...... good luck!

Haxor!
I have same router and it works fine. We use one PS3 wireless and one with Cat5 cable hooked in...no problems at all.
