With the Modern Warfare 3 Hardened edition now available for pre-order, we see that with it you can get lots of benefits, including a years COD elite subscription. Also with this, you get Founder status on elite, which gives you more exclusive benefits.

    • Unique Founder Weapon Camo & Profile Skin
    • Exclusive Founder In-game Player Card & Emblem
    • Access to the Private "#Founder" Group
    • Special Founder Clan XP Boost
    • Special Founder Operations, Events, & Leagues
    • Exclusive Founder Prizes & Experiences

Until now I thought you only got elite founder status when you buy the hardened version. But reading an article on the internet, its been said you can get Founder Status a different way.

The Australian prices have been revealed....

Alternatively, gamers can choose to purchase the Hardened edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for $159.95 RRP, which contains a one year membership to Elite amongst other goodies.

its pretty expensive, but overall I guess you will save money if you buy hardened rather than things individually.

Now onto the other way you can get COD elite founder status.

Gamers who sign up before November 13, 2011, will be awarded Founders Status. This rank is only available to those who get onboard early.

by the sounds of it, if you buy a years subscription to elite and activate it within 5 days of release you will get given founder status. So it's not just us hardened buyers who will get it. Anyone who buys a year of it within 5 days.

So this is useful to know for those who pre-ordered the normal version of the game or your planning to go to the midnight launch, you can still get the special founder status without buying the hardened version Smile

good idea or bad idea??

thats hardly fair that xbox only pay 4000ms points while ps3 users have to pay $65. Now, me being a PS3 user, may be a little confused on ms points and how much cash they are worth. And also as I live in the UK prices will be different.

But I'm so glad I managed to get the MW3 hardened edition for £65 from TESCO, granted I got it £10 cheaper from using a voucher (code is TDX-MNGK), luckily the voucher is only usable if you spend £75 or more and buy it from Tesco Direct (which I did). If this voucher helps then your welcome!

not sure how much elite will be for ps3 in psn cards, but 4000 msp is around £35, so it could be around that price??
