I looked on the Activision site and they basically say tough luck.

Dont rage quit.

as some people said
you get de-ranked if you Go to the XBL Menu (Playstation) or Dashboard (Xbox) and quit the game
so dont do it again

I didn't rage quit I played the games as normal then quit the game after the session and turned the ps3 off.
Apparently it's something to do with the info not being uploaded to the server, so you quit the game normally and lose everything you earned.

Yeh i've had it, it's so annoying.

Btw do you still use your old PSN?

same on xbox for me i've been deranked to 32 to 8 the first time and the second time 52 to 28 i've never rage quite or dashborded it's really anoying !
