You can open your NAT using MW2, but it's not permanent.

just set your PS3 to a static ip, and just set that IP into DMZ mode through your router. simple as that.

Hope it helps

My NAT type for All the call of duties is always "NAT Type: Open."

Enabling a single IP Address for all users on the network might do the trick. It could either be on your modem or router.

Or maybe it's just because your internet connection isn't fast enough? Gosh, all these answers are so technical.

Heh, no.

There is a possible of 3 different methods you can use to obtain Nat 2.

1)

Put Your Ps3 on a DMZ. Too lazy to show you how but I'll make a text tut. (Use Google for a more detailed one)

a) Assign the Ps3 a static IP

b) Go to your routers home page and click on DMZ.

c) Enter Ps3's static IP and make sure to save settings, Restart router and Ps3.

2) Manually forwarding ports or whatever. Try portforward.com

This is the worst method, if the method above doesn't work, chances are this won't work and you should proceed to step 3.

3) This step I believe actually involves your Modem:

In case you missed it:

-Enable "Telnet Client" from Windows features.
-Go to Run --> telnet 192.168.1.254 (Or whatever your Modem's password is)
-Enter Modem username and password.

(NOTE: Some Modem's have their username as just Admin, or admin, Administrator, or administrator. Check on Google or consult your modems manual for the username and password. If it's from your ISP you could also try to call them)

Then copy and paste each of the following lines. ONE AT A TIME

:connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=3074-3075
:connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=3478-3479
:connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=3658

Hopefully this helps :y:

My nat type is always open but sometimes I will start lagging and not be able to join games and my nat type changes to strict but when I test my connection it's 98%. And under nat type it says go to www.infinity ward.com/nat to learn how to open your nat.
