I now want to improve my score and achieve a higher rank., but not sure what game modes will help me ..

Domination, HQ, Team Defender, and Drop Zone are all good with a full party.

From my experience, the BEST way to achieve a high score is to play groundwar, and use the support strike packages. Use the following killstreaks: anything, sam turret, and recon drone (the last killstreak you should have on, so you can repeat).

Then put on any gun/perks, and use a stinger to shoot down killstreaks/UAVs. This'll get you more score + stike points to get your killstreaks faster.

The guy on our clan GT$M, Guess-Wat-IMback hit 10th prestige the first month it came out. All we play is HARDCORE - KILL CONFIRMED. This might help if you want to rank up fast! It only takes me 2.5 days about 140ish games to Prestige. I hope this helps!!
