i tottaly agree with you, but the default_mp.self isnt encrypted by 3.73 keys, but is encrypted with 128bit solar AE8S system, and you might be right with 3.73 keys.

there is no such thing as 256, 128 is the highest as far as im concernd and ps3 security protection lifted its secuirity to 128bit which relates to the keys which needed for the decyprion

if ur running 3.55 with a spoofer yea i guess u could run the a modded patch. but it would with ur keys. not the newer ones. and i dont think that would work the game might reject it then. there are a few people who have jailbroken the ps3 with 3.73 keys + but there not willing to share. =(... there is one group who has broke lvl1 but not lvl0. this means a jailbreak might be coming out soon again. but sony surely is on top of this. so who knows. we all no xbox sucks. wii even more. ps3 is a bitch. but will must wait i guess..

you need the .self to decrypt the .ff files

how do you know what it's encrypted with? I'm pretty sure they still go by the RSA private - public key encryption/decryption.
