Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling (You must login or register to view this content.) has given us some information regarding future updates on the title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Earlier in the week, Modern Warfare 3 players on the Xbox 360 received the deployment of patch 1.09 for the game, which will later on be released for Playstation 3 players on February 28th. The patch that was released contained "in-game Clan Ranks" for Clan Operations, there were also five new prestige levels being added (prestiges 11-15).

However, Robert recently mentioned there will be more "tweaks" being added onto the game soon. When he was questioned about his take on FMGs and whether or not it's "way too strong", Bowling politely agreed and promised that there will be a nerf for the gun soon (within the next few days). This isn't the first nerf that the FMGs have received, back in December they and the Type 95 were reduced in statistics. Included in the topic of the Type 95 and other "popular" and more used weapons, Bowling was asked on the games gun balance, specifically the ACR, MP9, and Type 95. Bowling then claimed that that the weapons ("statically speaking"), are not the only used primary weapons on Modern Warfare 3.

On the subject of Hardcore game modes, which are usually a tradition in the Call of Duty franchise, Bowling announced that the game mode of "Hardcore HQ (Headquarters)" is a release that will come out very soon. He also said that there is some playlist changes that will be coming in the next week or so, however the exact date isn't decided yet. This also relates to what Bowling tweeted previously, which goes into the topic of older maps in the Modern Warfare series:

That’s what I love – when I can do, like, playlist updates, and I have free reign and I’m not restricted by release dates or when it has to come out or any of that stuff, and we can just do it and it’s fun. That’s the stuff I love and that’s the stuff I want more of.”

What do you guys think about these new updates? What do you think Infinity Ward need to do to enhance the game to a new level?

more gun nerfs seriously these cry babies need to put down their gun that they use and try out another gun ive never had one problem with any of the guns that have been nerfed, occasionally ive been beaten by someone using them thats because theyve seen and started shooting me first ... common sence there.

no wonder cod is going down hill. cod4 i think had on or 2 patches and the game is so good. if only the newer cod's were like that

Cake is a lie
Yet they ain't nerfing dead man's hand, noob bomber. I wish people in COD community could accept deaths and stop trying to find a game flaw in every death they take. Stop nerfing shit and buff M16 and LMGs
