Well, it all depends on if you're content with where you are.
I mean, if you love the feeling of leveling up a lot, then I'd say prestige and keep leveling up until you feel like you're getting bored with ranking up (or MW3 in general).

Prestige if you like levelling up don't if you find it boring

And to answer the thread, I'd say it's better to Prestige, so that the game gets a little bit less boring to play. Getting XP is always better than just playing only for KDR or challenges
