Every cod since Mw2, each game has been a drop off to the previous game before it. Where does it go from here? I am hoping that treyarch can bring back what used to be a thriving community. Don't get me wrong I still think the community is still here, but we are a mere ghost of what we used to be. Looking back at people like Hutch, Operator Perry, Seannaners, ect. They just don't seem like they are having fun with the game anymore, they used to make videos for just the fun of it, but now COD has just become such a big thing, it seems like they can't remember why they started making videos. It's just a really big eye-opener when you see the people who shaped this community, not having fun with the game anymore.

I don't know how or if we may ever regain the status the community had, but I know where to start. First of all start with cod 4. I saw a tweet by 402 saying that he would be open to boosting the graphics of cod 4, but ea would have to agree. it is doubtful that this would happen, but it's a start, I would sure as hell buy it. It would give a chance for the rookie cod players to remodel there game (Less Campers:megusta. Give them a chance to play a game that is so much less complex. I wouldn't want EA to just release the new cod 4 that year, keep the same release date for the new cod, and then release it, kinda like Halo Anniversary.

IDK if anyone else shares my opinion, fell free to post yours. I would like to see different views from people who have noticed this too.

I got the idea of making this thread after watching the FIX Cod 4/5 video.

Coming out with a game every year burns it out, to be honest.

The whole series became unbalanced when W@W came out. Example: The MP40. From then on there was always one gun in each
game that people abused into the ground.

MW2: UMP45, Black Ops: Famas, MW3: Type 95.

The reason why this is happening is because, the games now have become more unrealistic! Since cod4, it was simple, fair and everyone had an even battle. It was done through your own skill, but now COD has became soo easy.. you have, Death Streaks.. Overpowerd killstreaks.. Unbalanced guns.. everything is unrealistic.

I suppose this was a way the COD franchise make there money, it makes it easy for you, its makes them easy money.

Here is another thing, the game is rated 18, but 12 years old kids know better than most 18 year olds? (the games to easy)

This is exactly how I feel about the CoD series.
And people are wondering why Battlefield has been getting more publicity and is being talked about more than MW3 is because it's way more realistic WITH a lot of features that keep it balanced.

I couldn't agree more, Cod4 was based around individual skill and now you have things making it easier for everyone to play which for us veteren players is not what we want.

However I disagree about the age rating, ratings are given due to content not the difficulty of the game :p

Hopefully Respawn Entertaiments game in 2013 will bring back a true COD game but under a different name....

If they go for a simplistic approach, the game will be much easier to balance. When you have a balanced game, its player skill that determines the winners of gunfights, not who can get an Osprey and hold the trigger. The games will be more enjoyable and you don't have to worry about a Dead Mans Hand around every corner or someone with a Type 95.

CoD 4 and CoD 5 were not perfect, but the idea of "Call of Duty" seems to be slipping the minds of IW and Treyarch. Restore it to the simplist form and you keep most people happy.

I am on the opposite sid"e if what's wrong... First the Type 95 isn't MW3's OP gun especially in the way MP40 or FAMAS in BO was. ACR is way easier to use than T95 and the MK14 is better...

But back to my point. There are two main issues.

1. IW/3arc adding noob friendly things like deathstreaks, second chance and Support killstreaks. These things don't players get better rather giving them a crutch and punishing the better player for killing them. OMA Danger Close as well

2.) The community is full if whiny excuse makers. If a guy kills you from behind cover he is a camper. A guy knife you he is a panic knifee. If he dropshots then dropshot is cheap. If he actually rushes you then his gun is "overpowered". If he snipes you he is a hardscopper. If you don't run around with a Sniper you are bad yet quick scoping is lame. A guy says your PP90 rapid fire is OP yet he has ACR or MP7.

The COD community is nothing but excuse makers. No one can ever kill us without some dastardly tactic.

The community needs more positive discussion not just "omg this gun killed me nerf it and stop letting people camp' nerdrage. People talk trash about how they will beast you yet when they lose they have a long list of excuses. These guys need to learn what trash talk is and how it works. Don't go 12-16 with Support ks telling someone their gun is OP or they camped. There should be COD trash talk fineprint. "I'm going to beast you as long as you don't use guns i consider OP and move 100% of the time"

Personal i think that they should try recuce everything or increase health etc. i would like to see if the game would play better if the player health was raised to 200 or higher, or the equlivant gun damage reducion, i think if everything kills in about 3 shots its to quick.

How much better would the game be if it wasnt oh 1 shoot your dead, so yes i get shoot but i can turn around and shoot him, if im better or outplay his whole press button first....
