I don't see why the would need to patch ps3 for Xbox to get the maps but I'm not a programmer

We get the map blackbox though today, so thats probably why theyve done the patch (ps3 users)

Yes. The collection allows you to play the maps in the public playlist (outside of the ELITE playlist).
