Hey Guys,
Id appreciate it if everyone could take 2 minutes to read over this in hope that someone has had a similar experience. Im not sure if this is in the right section, by all means Moderators move if needed.
I bought MW3 Prestige/Hardened the day it came out, and of course got a years Subscription to Elite.
I downloaded the DLC1 (Piazza and Liberation) when it came out for PS3. When i tried to play the maps I got the error message:
"DLC Content is Required, Map Piazza is missing or damaged".
I tried re-downloading and got the same problem, so I left it as I was going away the next day. A few weeks later a friend of mine signed up to Elite, downloaded the maps and played them fine, he has since downloaded Overwatch and Blackbox and played them fine too.
I have now downloaded Overwatch and Blackbox, and while they both downloaded fine, cant play them because this "Piazza Error" is stopping me from getting into the Elite Playlists. Now here's the doozie.........
Ive googled the problem and noticed this is a major problem alot of people are having over the last few days (April 11-12) mainly on Xbox. I rang Activision support and he assured me that people were working on a fix and it will be out shortly. My problem is this.........
If this is a problem that has only arrisen in the last few days, why was I haveing the same errors a month ago. Why, after I had the errors, did millions of other people download and play the maps fine. How will this patch that is made to fix a problem that they are telling me has only came about in the last few days, when my problem was happening a month ago?
Im 99% sure this problem dosent relate to this current "problem/patch" and there must be a fix. When I go into private match, all the DLC maps are there (so theyre fine) except for Piazza.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you rectify it (PS3). Im raging hard right now!
Im not even hating on Activision or anything, I just want the f*#king maps! ;-)
Thanks in advance,
Jordan.
