I assume you are getting an error that the file is over 4GB? This is an issue with hard drives that are FAT32 format, the only fix is the format the hard drive to NTSC. So get anything on it you want to keep onto your pc or wherever as a backup, then format it, and put it all back on, you shouldnt get an error now as NTSC allows single files over 4GB.

Ah yeah i think i remember reading that a few years back, the only time ive ever used a hard drive on my ps3 was when i was playing a cracked game, and im pretty sure multiman has a built in function (or its in the settings) to add support for NTSC. So have a look around, i know there's a way Winky Winky Good luck

I copied mass effect 2 to my ps3 from a disc. Was 12 gb and worked fine so I am not sure if that is true.

then your hard drive is NTSC format, trust me, this isnt a question of what game or what console/pc, it is simple straight facts. FAT32 cannot hold an SINGLE file that is over 4GB, so you can have a game that is 12GB total, but the files that make up that 12GB are each below 4GB, its only a problem when any single file is over 4GB not an entire folder.

i did bold it... :p so basically lets sya you have a folder with 5 text documents that are each 1GB. That folder is now 5GB in total BUT it will still go onto a FAT32 format hard drive because each FILE (not folder) going onto it are below the 4GB limit. But if you had 1 text document tha was 5GB it would go on because it as a single file is over the 4GB limit, therefore you need a NTSC format drive to store it.

I understand :y:
It is 1 file that is 4gb. Not total.
