Just checked my email. i can confirm its real.

Confirmed, I received the same email about 8 hours ago at the time of writing this post.

It doesn't interest me as I don't really plan on playing Modern Warfare 3 again, but it is a nice gesture for the serious fans.

I can CONFIRM that I received the same email extending ELITE until March.

I have a strange feeling that they are trying to figure out how to determine PREMIUM and FREE users of ELITE! I was reading on ELITE, under BLACK OPS 2, LEAGUES last week and some of the verbage they used sounded like we would have to pay for a service. I believe more information will start to come out especially after the LAUNCH.

I just went on ELITE to read BLACK OPS 2 Leagues to confirm what I read and it's NOT UP anymore!!

I remember back in December or so, I forget what, but something happened with Elite. I think Clan Ops didn't work for the first month or so. Anyway "they" post on callofduty .com that Elite would be extended an extra month or so because of them releasing a "non finished" product.

Maybe this is why, or also like dzn said, trying to figure out who is paid and who isn't.
