download the 1.23 update normally and install it on your ps3, now download this eboot: You must login or register to view this content.
now use a ftp to transfer the eboot to Games/YOUR REGION/USRDIR/ and replace the existing eboot.
btw you might want to use the ROGERO 4.30 cfw to play online

this only works with Patch_mp.ff on mw2 cod4 etc. Mw3 is an eboot modding and if you want to re-encrypt the eboot for a 4.30 OFW you will need the 4.30 private keys wich is not possible for the moment. (and i dont think it will be possible one day)
