Post: BOYCOTT MODERN WARFARE, BECAUSE IT HAS NO MINI-MAP! HERE IS WHY:

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); As we all can see here, one of the key aspects of Call of Duty, the MINI-MAP, has been removed without anyone in the community having ever complained about the existence of the MINI-MAP in core mode. Even though the wants of the community is divided, we all, who are serious gamers, seem to agree on this.

This is a change that will make you blind in this new Call of Duty, you can't feel this blindness when you aren't playing it yourself. The proper way to utilize the MINI-MAP is not to mindlessly chase after red dots on the screen, but to know the position of your teammates and what direction they are facing. Making plays based on that (quick decisions based on MINI-MAP ie: spawns, holding, where to rotate, where to push in relation to teammates, where to look based on teammates). This provide you map-awareness, which is fundamental to doing good in a Call of Duty game. The MINI-MAP adds a tactical layer to the Call of Duty flow in-game. Removing the MINIMAP and replacing it with a compass that shows red dots dumbs the game down and makes the game more random, frustrating and confusing, that is kind of ironic as this Call of Duty sells itself as a more tactical Call of Duty. Which is also why the flow in call of duty is fast-paced compared to other FPS games and the reason you prefer COD over other games. That will change, in a way that Call of Duty fans will not favor and dislike when they try it in the beta. You can already get a taste of it now, by playing hardcore, as the flow in that game is radically different and very slow paced, because of two big factors: NO MINI-MAP and LOW HEALTH.

- THE MINI-MAP IS THE MOST ESSENTIAL THING IN CALL OF DUTY BESIDES PERKS AND ATTACHMENTS.

Understanding the concept of filling gaps, watching a kill feed then seeing where a dead teammate spawns then reacting to it...or even on the most basic level: getting shot and looking at the red dot and knowing where you got shot from is now all gone.

- REMOVING THE MINI-MAP WILL DUMB THE GAME DOWN

It has also recently been confirmed, that the MINI-MAP will be included for COMPETITIVE

One must ask this question “Why would they add a MINI-MAP for people who take the game seriously?”

The unconfirmed theory must either be, that the developers are seeking to make Good players worse in Pub, making the game noob-friendly (on paper)… or that the Developers simply don't know what they are doing and are out of touch with people who play COD (most likely).

- NEW CRUTCHES WILL BE BORN

The other part is new crutches will be born. COLDBLODDED/GHOST will be the new STOPPING POWER. Because the other Crutch will be the UAV for the sole purpose of having a minimap, but it won't really show many dots, because you and a super-majority of people will be using COLDBLOODED/GHOST. So now if you want to have a chance in this game, you are now kinda of forced to use 2 killstreaks you actually want to use instead of 3, and you have to use 2 perks that you actually want to use instead of 3.

- BIG DISADVANTAGE FOR LONEWOLVES

Another consequence of this, will be a snowballing effect, when a member of a team gets a TEAM UAV. Once one team has map-awareness and the other does not, the other team will have a lot less chance of recovering, whereas in previous CODs a UAV was really no big trouble. Also, party members will have an unfair advantage due to call-outs, but they will have to name where they are and what direction they are looking at. Imagine a bunch of people doing that constantly and simultaneously… Adds frustration and confusion.

- FRUSTRATION AND CONFUSION

One of the most annoying consequence will be when you spawn mid-game, as you will again have zero awareness of what the is going on. You will mistake teammate footsteps with enemies, if you are using an expensive headset of course, that people are kind of forced to buy now if they want to have a better chance at the game. People who play from a TV will have absolutely no luck, they will be much worse players than players that utilize the MINI-MAP and have an amazing KD and win ratio because of that. Hardcore players and low-end core players (who just play for a COD time, no serious gaming equipment) seem to not grasp this, but this change will also make them worse players even if they use it to “chase red dots”, but they use it for more without even knowing it, and they will realize how good it was for their gameplay, when they are playing the game themselves. And not from the shills that was paid to play Modern Warfare, of course they have a biased opinion.

- AGAIN…

The skill gap will be lowered. Removing the MINI-MAP will make the game less tactical (KIND OF IRONIC!) and more random. And if you pull the Realism card at me, then I will put the card saying: REMOVE RESPAWNS.

This Call of Duty, if they do not add a MINI-MAP back into core mode, will be the most chaotic and frustrating (for people who likes to go on streaks and generally do well) Call of Duty ever.

I recommend you to cancel your pre-order, at least after the first frustrating matches. They will listen when they lose potential money. Call of Duty Devs are out of touch with their base.

A lot of average Call of Duty players are not able to see this, but I promise you, that once you play this game for yourself, it will be something entirely else than having seen gameplay from people that has been paid to play their game and talk positively about it.

Very incorrect. If you rely on the mini map as much as you're talking, you aren't good at the game. A good COD player doesn't need the mini map to play the game. It is unfortunate we won't have that help anymore, but it doesn't ruin the game. It makes it a little bit harder, which it should be. The past CODs have been way too easy.

It's not like we have had hardcore if people want it to be more realistic (no hud etc) for OVER A DECADE.
Boycott.
