Post: How can I see Der Riese in a map editor?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); People are always saying that holding x on this or that is going to do something, but I can never know for sure. Is there a way I can use the xbox 360 transfer cable to get the map on my computer and then open it in a map editor like Valve's Hammer? Or, is there a way to download the PC version of Der Riese and do the same thing? I have update 1.6 for COD WaW for the PC (which has Der Riese on it), but I can't install it without having the game installed, and I can't just extract the files from it.

Very very few people on this site use the PC as a map editor and whereas i'm not one of them I know that Xbox and PS3 maps are created very differently from PC and I don't believe you'll be able to do this without the help of a professional and/or some very professional software. Of course you can't install 1.6 without WaW installed as it uses all the objects, map creation, ai and so on from the base game. I'm sorry but if you don't even have the game in the first place you have no chance at attempting this. I suggest downloading the game for free from the internet and while you shouldn't play it as this is illegal you could install the patch, go into the map files and extract the der riese map from the actual map area. If i'm correct (which I have no idea if I am), then you should be able to fully edit the map.
