I know there are a ton of Der Riese strategies around, but this is slightly different. It is a modification of the catwalk strategy. I do not like the version many do (1 on stairs, 1 on window, 2 in the cage-like area at the end of the corridor) I feel that too many things can go wrong here: namely, if the stair-man has to retreat, the man on the window will almost invariably die by either being cornered, or jumping off the platform into a horde of brain-hungry zombies. I have taken what has worked for me in the past to address these shortcomings. So, without further to do here is my
Der Riese Strategy:
Rounds 1-3:
On 1, shoot 4 times in the chest and 4 times in the leg. They will usually not die from this. On 2 and 3 shoot with a full clip and stab. Buy the Kar-98k if you run out of Colt ammo.
Round 4 - First Hellround
The two guys with the most points will open the two doors to the Thompson Room (I shall call this the T-Room)
Everybody should purchase a Thompson. DO NOT BUY THE DOUBLE BARRELED SHOTGUN!
Camp in the T-Room as such: 1 man should control the windows here. The other three should guard the door. Use your grenades if you start to get overwhelmed.
At the start of the first hellround, crowd onto the stairs. After you pickup the max ammo, open the stairs. One man should jump down to turn on the electricity; the others should buy Juggernog, and if they have at or over 4500 points, Bouncing Betties. Then jump down to the courtyard (I shall call this the M-Room)
First Hellround - Round 10
Everybody have two spins on the Mystery Box. If you get the Wunderwaffe, don't use it until Round 10-ish. You need points.
I would rank the Mystery Box weapons as follows:
1: The Wunderwaffe DG-2
2: The Ray Gun
3:The MG-42
4

Psh-41
5:Browning M1919
6:FG-42
DO NOT take the following weapons:
Kar-98k
Gewher 43
M2 Flamethrower(Unless you are REALLY good with it, and I mean REALLY good)
PTRS-41
BAR(Past Round 8-ish)
The M1 Garand(Use the nades and trade it)
Round 10 - When you need to flee
Somebody needs to make a crawler on 11-12. Three need to go to a teleporter and one needs to go to the mainframe. Each should link, mystery box if they don't have any satisfactory weapons, and Pack-A-Punch guns
Your team should now open the door behind you and crawl up onto the catwalk. You should be arranged as such: Two guys up front, near the gap in the catwalk railing. These guys should alternate firing on the zombies with MG's and PPsh's and Ray Guns.
The other guys should be in the back. One man should have the Wunderwaffe, preferably PaP'd. He should be thinning out the zombies with the WW. The other guy should have a PaP'd MG w/ Ray Gun or PPsh.
This is where you should make your stand. Grab Nukes, Max Ammos (Throw monkey bomb first), and Insta-Kills or Carpenters if you can without too muck risk
The End
If you are the last man standing, here is what you do: throw a monkey bomb (Revive a mate if necessary) Run into the teleporter and teleport to the mainframe. Run to the left, toward the MP-40 room. Turn on the barrier and run into the teleporter. If you have the Wunderwaffe, shoot them until they get close. DO NOT ZAP YOURSELF! YOU WILL DIE VERY QUICKLY!
Teleport, and run to the T-Room, turn on the barrier, and go to the hole near the bridge and the Double Tap machine. Shoot until overwhelmed, then jump down to he M-Room, run to Teleporter C, shoot, teleport, repeat. Continue till the end of the round or you die

1. Juggernog
2. Speed Cola
3. Quick Revive
4. Don't buy Double Tap
