Thank you for your feedback following the release of Call of Duty: World at War. We have learned that some PS3 users are experiencing anomalies with their in-game stats resetting completely, or sometimes just appearing to lose a few arbitrary ranks. We are investigating the issue.

So far, it appears as though this problem can be linked to a player shutting down their PS3 too quickly at the end of a match. Basically, the match data isn’t completely saved when you may be shutting down your console.

Until we find a more definitive solution, we recommend you wait until you are back into the next match’s game lobby before you shut down your PS3. Additionally, quitting the game prior to shutting off the console may decrease your chances of losing your stats.

We will be releasing an update as soon as we are confident that we have a solid & tested fix, and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We know you work hard for your stats, and understand the seriousness of the matter.
