For about 8 - 9 months now, people have been reporting that Map Pack 4 was coming out in September 8th (due to the calendar in Map Pack 3: Nazi Zombies). I've been reading articles on different forums when this rumour was around. But, when everyone was awaiting this glorious day thinking they'd get Map Pack 4 first, there was nothing new in PS Store. More rumours came around about delays on this, and was going to be released on 18th September instead. On this day, everyone eagerly awaited, once more. Again, nothing new in the PS Store. More details leaked that it was going to be released on 30th September. Once more, nothing new in the PS Store. Eventually some people gave up hope. More rumours began to emerge saying that it was going to be released on the 18th December. As you can guess, nothing new.

I saw a post on Treyarch's site a while back, stating "We are not releasing any more map packs, as we are currently working on a new Call of Duty. Due to the huge sales of Modern Warfare 2, we soon began to realize that hardly anyone would play Call of Duty: World at War."



There are many things which prove MP4 isn't coming out, such as, if you go into Single Player > Mission Select > Nazi Zombies > *Highlight over* Der Riese. It says something like "This is where it all began, does it end here?" This is a clue that it is the last map pack.

I hope this cleared some stuff up about Map Pack 4.

That doesn't necessarily mean it was the last map pack...people say things like that all the time to tease for new information.

I don't even care for a new map pack, but they really think no one plays World at War? Sure, maybe not online multiplayer... but zombies still gets put to good use every day.

I think more people still play W@W over cod4, seems that way on ps3 anyway.

they should still bring a map pack though

I see about half of my friends online playing World at War every day.

I heard a lot of map pack 4 but always rumours and i was really hoping for a new zombies but was dissapointed. Hoping zombies is on Black Ops, as was dissapointed with Spec-Ops

i love playing cod5 online multiplayer! that and Quantum of Solace is where i started the legacy of everyone knowing and calling me Birdman

Yeah, its because on COD4, some people hack it, bypass it, etc, it's one of the easiest games to hack, so usually if you see people, it's either when they're trying out a new glitch or hack.

And barely anyone plays COD5 W@W because MW2 is out. I'd be lucky to see 10k member on W@W. On MW2, I usually see up to and around 600k... If Treyarch DID release a new Map Pack, sure, it might bring back some players, but that would only be until Black Ops is released. Also, if you calculate it, roughly selling the Map Pack for say... £5.99? x that by 10k would be roughly £59.9k, whereas it takes about that much money to develop and test it. When Black Ops comes out, there will be Map Packs for it, I guarantee it, so why release a Map Pack on their previous game(s) when they can make so much more when Spec Ops comes out?
