(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i know about decompressing the patch and taking two files, cutting them in half in hex and naming them missions.gsc and doing all fo that jazz and THEN recompressing, but what if i just found the file, (lets say 00006153.dat) and just edited it in notepad++, save and re compressed? would it work or do i ABSOLUTELY have to do all that shit in hex?

just want some help on the because its very time consuming!!\

I guess it should, I don't see why not? Give it a go. The thing is you might not be able to edit it proplerly.

yeah, good points, i didnt think about if i changed the size. darn.

but i have another idea i have been thinking of...what if we just took the first two blocks (the mission.gsc) and decrypted them one at a time, edited them, keep the size the same, re-encrypt and put back in the patch. i didnt word that verry well but i will try to explain it as best as i can to you guys...

one more question, do you guys know of any gsc that the name is EXACTLY 24 CHARACTERS LONG? that includes map/blah/blah/titties.gsc all of that would be 24 characters long, if you could find that for me, i would love you. THANKS!
