I already had map pack 1 from this guy (we will ccall him A). I gameshared with him, and it was cool - everything was fine , the map pack worked. Anyway, last night i gamershared with another guy, and he had both of the map packs. I deleted the account with the details of A and made a new one for guy B. I downloaded both map pack 1 & 2 , and installed them. I restarted my system and then tried to play on my own account, but there are no maps at all!!!! The only thing that's weird is that before the game even gets to the sceen saying "push start" , it starts to download game settings - wtf??:confused::mad:

So eventhough i downloaded and installed the maps, they arent there, but i can see the pictures of the places instead of that zombie head. So the data is there on my ps3. Oh, and no, i didnt delete the account i made for guy B on my playstation. I only deleted the account for guy A because i already had a number of other accounts on my ps3, so i wanted to save space.:mad::mad::mad:

easier terms: i gameshared with guy A for map pack 1. He didnt buy the second map pack, so i found someone with both map packs. I deleted the "user" file for guy A from my playstation, and made one for guy B. I then downloaded both the map packs, installed them, but they did not work.

i think you need the account of the person you shared the map pack off on your ps3 user list for it to work

yeah, you need the account that you downloaded them off of

so you're saying that i have to be logged on as the other user - their online id, like myn is BOGAN123 in order for the maps to work? I quickly tried that last night and still no luck. I think ill have to redownload them both again. *sigh* another 1 and a half gig down the drain....

well, does anyone have any suggestions at all as to how i get these maps to work? i've noticed that ii have two save files for cod5 in the option at the top of the game section - i think its like the db or something. One is about 2 gig, im guessing the maps, and the other is like 700mb....Im not too sure if i need to delete one or something?

Ok what i would do is just delete the game data utility for COWaW from your PS3. Then RE install the patch. After you reinstall the patch then go and download both of the map packs and install them. The game data utility is where your maps are saved not in save data or whatever. If this works then +rep me.
