(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Im new at coding patches on ps3. Just got a jb so I decided to try and edit a patch for myself. alpatch649's phoenix is amazing so I wanted to edit it to my liking. All I did put take max round and paintball into the host menu, get rid of mutation modz, take out/add/fix text (alpatch's name is still in the patch... I do not want to take the credit he earned) and after hours of troubleshooting, I always get the same syntax error:
Server script compile error
bad syntax
(view console for details)

I used the offsets 87D4 to FFFF in the 0000851c.dat and the offsets 0 to 620C in the 0000da44.dat file. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

PS- I tried to edit the patch in the new .ff viewer but whatever I edit gets changed back even if I edit one .gsc at a time.

Check your spelling and look for missing ;.

For ff viewer you have to save raw file first then save fast file as...

No, I'm saying I didn't add anything. I just moved around somethings into the host menu. 99% of the edit was copy paste. And about the ff viewer- :derp:(<<me)

When I'm trying to move an option into host (using max round as an example), all I do is take the max round option in the menu, move it to the position I want in the host menu, then find the function " = ::v1;menu.funcs[menu.funcs.size]" and move it into the host string making sure it matches up with max round (ie max round is the first option so the first function at the end would be " = ::v1;menu.funcs[menu.funcs.size]"
right?

ok, I take the actual viewable option in the menu (ie [max round]) and move it to the host only menu. I then take the function that went with max round (ie ::v1;menu.funcs[menu.funcs.size]) and place it in with the other functions in the host menu. also, i double checked to make sure that if [max round] was the first option in the menu, i placed the ::v1;menu.funcs[menu.funcs.size] function as the first active funtion in the host thread... talk to me on aim when you get a chance
