I have a couple of questions regarding modifying game saves on the Playstation 3...

1. Has anyone attempted to modify game saves on the Playstation 3? (If so what method did you use?)
   
   
2. Has anyone attached the Playstations hard-drive to a desktop PC/laptop? (If so how did it go?)
   
   
3. Has anyone managed to find a way of decrypting the coding? (If so how?)
   

I only ask these questions as I am considering having an attempt at bringing modifications to the Playstation 3.

I know that there are a couple of people on here that have a lot more programming experience then me (I only have one year of college taught programming and one year of self taught programming under my belt) and if those people have tried and failed then it might not be worth me having a look... however it’s always good to have a fresh pair of eyes looking things over.

Any feedback I can gather will be greatly appreciated.

Good luck mate,PS3 coding is extremely hard to crack,but Xbox is a lot easier.

if ur able to get somebody 2 decode that would be great. if u arent i could try to find someone for u. if u get it decoded plz add me on psn im hoosier0089 plz contact me if u get mods

Not quite the feedback I was hoping for... but I guess you always get people like this on most threads.



I know that the Microsoft 360 Xbox is much easier to modify but now that it is public knowledge on how it is done Microsoft will surely start putting precautions into place stop it from being possible anymore or at least make it much harder.

Anyway I will be having a more detailed look into things later tonight/tomorrow (I need to purchase a 2.5 to 3.5 IDE/SATA first).

Anyway guys I'll keep people informed of my progress and hopefully I might find/stumble across something that can either help me or help people with more knowledge/experience than me.
