Yeah I heard theres an upgraded version but i havnt even seen it switch to the Type 99.

It is confirmed that the Type 99 (NOT Type 100) only gets put in the random box after you activate the fly trap.

I had the type 99 and a dp 28 on a mod (PC). It's not awesome if you think that. It is really weak and they go fast out of ammo.
