They won't be used, at least not from my end. PS4 has Live Streaming and Video Capture. I'm sure VC is not as editable as something capture with these cards and then edited on PC, but is good enough.

Still has a future, PS4 is hardware limited nothing going to beat a device whole design is on the recording video.
You can do far more on PC editing software compared to PS4.

The ps4 doesn't have an HDMI out/IN. It's got one of the other.

Not really sure yet, we haven't seen the quality of the Capture Cards on PS4 to see if it will top over Elgato, HD PVR.

No i don't think there end tbh, Even though they have a Recorder on the PS4

I've just recorded a gaming session of Resogun with me earning two trophies and after playing it back I can say this about the video file.
1) the file for a 14:50 is 859MB ( I can safely say a 15:00 would be at-least 900MB)
2) The quality is about 720P ( I'm not a video expert but that's how it looked to me but a bit toned downed)
3) When earning a trophy it does not appear on the recording
4) The only way now I can find to upload the recording is on Facebook. There seems to be no option to transfer it to an External USB which I think would've been a way faster method :\
5) There is no way to edit the recording

Edit: I just realized that this thread is 3 months old o_o" My bad on this one I should've looked more closely on the date.
