Well, looking at a YouTube video it appears that it'll work once the cable is attached. If you've just bought it, why not return it to get replaced version? You paid, so don't kill yourself trying to solve this problem. Simply, return it. But, looking at some of the YouTube videos it appears having the cable connected will work. But again, I doubt you want this to be the solution...

Hmmm seems like a tough one but considering you just bought it if you bring it back they'll replace it straight if it's within a couple of days. I've never heard or seen this problem before
