i reccomend for gaming you get a desktop. it is alot more difficult to upgrade laptops and if its an older one the new proccesors arent garrenteed to work.

right click on my computer and click properties. Read me the specs at the bottom left (XP). If your computer is dual core, you'll want a better dual core processor. Keep in mind it is hard to upgrade a laptop's hardware. Also, its mostly the graphics card, not the processor that plays games.

btw, nice bali in your pic

Do a barrel roll!
It it more difficult to upgrade a laptop's hardware than it would be for a Desktop. I wouldn't recommend it to a rookie. If i were you i would get hold of a Desktop if you are planning to play Games on a computer. Don't be fooled into thinking Alienware computers are any good, You could easily build a computer with the same specs for half the price. You pay 1 Grand for the parts then 1 Grand for the logo.

Hope i helped.
