I suggest using You must login or register to view this content.. It lets you create a file that contains an encrypted file system. You mount the file system to an an available drive letter and can then access and modify any files on it. When you're done, just unmount it. The website should have instructions on how to get started using it.

You'll need TrueCrypt on the other computer, but you can copy it to a USB stick and run it from there in traveler mode. You might need admin rights on the other computer to do that though. I have TrueCrypt installed on all my Windows systems and some of my Linux systems so I can mount TrueCrypt volumes that are on a remote network share.

I have a 400GB external hard drive that's fully encrypted. I mainly only connect it to one computer (my laptop), but I can also connect it to my other computers and access files on it.

You don't consciously encrypt or decrypt the files. Think of the TrueCrypt file (or device) you create as a hard drive. You mount it to a drive letter and access files on it. Any time you try to read or write data from it it's automatically encrypted or decrypted. Then when you're done, just close all your files and unmount the TrueCrypt drive.

THE BEST, EASIEST, way is AxCrypt. Go to google, type in download, search, click on first one (CNET.com) type in AxCrypt and download!. You just right click the file and type a new password and its done!!!!!!!!!!.Happy
