Post: Sony vaio need help!!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a sony vaio and a few week ago it shut down and wouldnt reboot properly. I foned up sony and they said to try recovery centre, i tried that and it didnt work it stopped at installing the microsoft office ect.. They said i eed to buy a recovery disc. I took it to a friends and they said it needs windows needs reinstalling which i new anyway. Any ideas of what to do?

Yea you should go into the computers BIOS. For my laptop fixing that would require me to press ALT F10 during boot. I'm not sure if the BIOS is the same or differrent. So try to press different F1-f10 when the computer Boots. This can bring you into different BIOS menu's there are options in there guarenteed to help you Smile

The best way is to start you're PC in safe mode and format your C:/Drive :y:

I have tried this it says : ' windows could not the installstion in safe mode. To continue installing windows, restart the computer. ' when i restart the loading bar comes up as per nornal then the vista logo then its a weird beep and says : windows could not complete the installation. To install windows on thisccomputer, restart the installation.

Have you still got your Windows Installation CD?

Didnt get one with the laptop!

I have just tried to restore the c:/ drive and it crashed at 52% on installing microsoft office ready 2007. I need the windows cd do you know where i can download one?
