2GB DDR2 333Mhz RAM (4x512MB)
Intel Core 2 Duo 2Ghz Processor
320GB Hard Drive


What I'd like to do, is change the case (only fits half-sized graphics cards) then upgrade the graphics card to a GTX 460 or something similar, then gradually (once I get more money) upgrade the RAM to maybe 4GB and upgrade the processor to a quad core.

Just wanted to know, is this actually possible and how hard would it be to change cases from this slimline one to a full sized one, then upgrade it. Also what sort of things would I need to look out for (PSU etc).

My main intentions are to get this ready for gaming.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well get 2x2GB DDR2 and upgrade the HDD is the most obvious thing. You'll need to see how much your pc can take as there is a limit to the amount of ram.

Also if it's for gaming you'll need a good graphics card.

Well I have some more 320GBs lying around and the limit of RAM is 16GB (4x4GB).

Oh lol the processor of the pc threw me off of how much RAM you could take. Well 16GB really isn't necessary if your processor is only 2GHZ dual core. The best thing you can do as in hard drives is just get one large capacity one like a TB.

When you get some more monies to spend you should get a solid state for gaming :dumb:.

it looks abit too flashy but even so it is a great case with great airflow

do you have any information on your psu? i would recommend getting at least a 650w psu. eg You must login or register to view this content.
also on most other things its good to shop around different brands for the cheapest but with a psu i would suggest staying with Antec/Corsair/XFX/Seasonic

in terms of graphics card, it really depends on your budget. cant really help without budget

RAM, you will only really need 4gb for most of the games out there but if you have a reasonable budget then 8gb would make it more futureproof
