(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); First things first. Budget: $2700 at the MAX. I wan't to use these computers for a mix of somewhat hardcore gaming and hardcore editing. =D

My configured iMac:

3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7

8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB

1TB Serial ATA Drive

AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5

iWork preinstalled

My Configured Alienware:
Intel® Core™ i7 930 Quad Core Processor (2.8GHz, 8MB Cache)

Genuine Windows® 7 Professional, 64Bit, English

12GB Triple Channel 1333MHz DDR3

Dual 1GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 460 - SLI Enabled

No other Software

You may think that I am going overkill but trust me, I know what I can do with these babies. Please keep in mind that these will also act as family computers. So they could be used to store other files from other computers, and compatibility is a must.

SO WHICH ONE DO YOU RECOMMEND?

I recommend you build a PC and don't get ripped by pre-built shit. You could get the BEST parts for $2700 bro.

If you ask me, I would get a Mac because as I believe, they cannot get viruses (quote me if I'm wrong) and since you belong to a hacking community (NGU), people post viruses all the time and you got to watch out fir them. I got a virus the other day from here. Just saying, safety first.

I never thought that there would be such a difference in cost. I'll have to ring up my dad as he's been working in computers since I was born. I dont know jack about building computers, but I can use the software.
