Post: Suggest a Desktop for me!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey everyone. I am looking for a Desktop computer. It has to be able to do the following:

  • Run MacOSX and Linux in VMWare Fusion
  • Run Photoshop and Cinema 4d (with ease)
  • Large Hard Drive
  • A lot of memory
  • Good Wireless card

My price limit is probably around $1500, but I would not like to spend that much. Ideally around $1000 would be nice.

Thanks Smile
Jake

You should go with a barebones kit, you save like %50 by getting one of those.

A barebones kit, is just a computer that hasn't been put together yet.

Make your own PC, and just add the things you need. Like since you dont need it for Gaming, you don't have to add a top of the range graphics card Smile

That is the best place to get barebone kits. But you would be better off by getting the parts yourself. Barebones are cheap but if you select parts yourself you will have better results.

Actually, I take a lot of video on my camcorder. But when I import it onto my Mac i notice it is very choppy. Will a good graphics card fix that?

EDIT: I know you guys said barebones....but how does this look? You must login or register to view this content.
