(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys,

As you have seen in my previous threads, i have been deciding whether to buy this laptop or that. In the end, I bought one good one! Its a toshiba.

Long story short, everythings perfect...except theres one dead pixel. No its not dead, its a stuck pixel based on my research, since its a very tiny red dot.

Is this bad? I know some software can fix it, but is it safe? Also, does the pressure applying method works?

Thanks so much guys Smile

Edit: ANOTHER problem..but i guess this one's normal: i charged my laptop before i used it, 100%, it had a white light showing its full. When the battery meter was on 8% i decided not to fully discharge it. Is it really safe to fully discharge at 0%??

:(

Yeah, i think i can do that too. But thats my last option. Don't wanna go through all that store/complain process, reinstalling stuff..etc.

Surely my problems are normal for new laptops i assume? (The battery problem, yes, i think its just the fact that its new. I will maybe fully discharge it depending on the replies/advice of the forumers here. But the red pixel thing, sure its not a dead pixel, its just a stuck one, but its that that common for NEW products, considering the laptop is only 4 days old lol.

Haha, i guess i kinda answered my own question, but please, i'd really appreciate some sound advice.

-PS: I'd rep people who will help me, only teach me how to rep lolol. Winky Winky
Thanks

UPDATE:

MY BATTERY WAS FULLY CHARGED NOW!!! WOOO HOOOO. The light indicator is now white, but from 99% - 100% (power off) it took it around 30 minutes!!!!

THAT is still a problem. Should i still discharge, and is this really normal for some/most new laptops/batteries?

Okay so With my old shitty Netbook
half of my screen got frozen, I had to BIOS flash it and it worked fine. Just call them and I'm sure they will tell you to BIOS flash it.

Worth the Weight
The battery issue is common for a lot of new computers. However I am not too sure about the pixel problem that you seem to be having.

OMG. Battery is fine now..but the pixel..:(
its still stuck. I tried to use a software, only briefly coz it does not seem to work.

I tried the massage thing, and the pen pointing method and applied pressure..didnt work..im afraid putting more pressure might break it more.. :(

Yeah Im with you. I cant see how a stuck pixel can be permanent. Unless its a dead pixel, but its not..so...

Im gonna try playing this link:

and at the same time pressing on the area, the comments of the people on the vid say it seemed to work.

-Warning the video might cause seizures!

I'll let you guys know what happens!

-ps, is it safe to press HARD on the laptop screen???
