(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well, I dropped my good laptop on the floor and now it wont charge. I have another laptop which gets the error 'UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME' when I try and use it. Also, the screen on the old one is stuffed.

My question is, if I swap the hardrive and graphics card from the one that wont charge to the one that gets the error, will I have a perfectly working laptop?

Also, both laptops are the same model.

If there the same models and your hard drive and graphics card were not damaged then yes. But the 'UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME' may not be part of it and might not get fixed but most likely is.

Try swapping the hard drive to start out with. It's "usually" really easy to swap it out and safe. As for the graphics card, you most likely won't be able to swap it since it's integrated w/ your Motherboard.

On the old laptop, the problem sounds like your hard drive is either bad, or disconnected. So swap them. Post in Computer Lounge next time.

It's sounds like the error has something to do about the HDD. I would advice changing it. Please tell about the outcome Winky Winky
