I don't know too much about PC Builds but by the looks of your specs it looks really nice! I'm sure it will blow your laptop out of the way! Winky Winky The only thing I can see wrong is why aren't you getting the i7?

Also what are you going to be using the PC for, that may help others decide what is better. Whether you are going to be using it for gaming or video editing, etc.

I'd go with a different HD and Mobo but other that that this is a good budget gaming PC build.

If one were to study both processors, one will discover that most games/applications are still not multi-threaded thus the need for four cores is unneded.

ROLL TIDE!!!
That isn't a bad build. You might go with 1333MHz instead of 1600MHz on memory, your motherboard selected only does 1600MHz, if you OC it.

If you can afford to go from 2500 to 2600, you will see a Hugh boost of performance. Only other thing, is CPU fan. Don't expect to get much OC out of that fan. You will be able to overclock though.

All and all though, that is a good build.

EDIT:

Do not get a different HDD. That is one of the fastest HDD out there (talking about 7200RPM drives of course)

The CPU fan is GARBAGE. Never buy that one, I've had a terrible experience with it. Get something from Noctua.
