(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was trying to hack into this freebie site, trainn.org, and i found an SQL error

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/trainno/public_html/reviews.php on line 260

I don't know where to take it from here, all i wanted ti do was find the admin password and username.

So what do I do with the error..

P.S: What are the chances of me going to jail for whatever "hacking into a site for defacing and refferals" is categorized as?

What exactly do you mean? What attack were you performing? On which step did the error occur?

If you're talking about SQLI, that usually results around the order by x-- step (at least that's when you should see it), in which case you just have to reduce the value of x.

If you just randomly came across that error while browsing the site (in this case for exploits) then there's a chance it doesn't mean anything. You sound like you're newer to hacking, so I'd suggest you follow a tutorial, and find a truly vulnerable site, as opposed to randomly scanning a site looking for a vulnerability that you probably wouldn't even notice if it walked up to you.

The error itself is resulting from an error in SQL syntax (meaning that the code using to query the database is incorrect).

The chances of going to jail are slim, but its something you always deal with. Use a proxy and VPN (or multiple proxies and VPNs) - make sure they're non-logging and have high speed and anonymity. If so, you should be good to go.

Let me know what attack you were doing and what step you were on, and I can help you out more. If you were just randomly browsing through the site, it might not even indicate a vulnerability.
