you need linux OS, so you could still do it on any OS, all you have to do is download VMWare so you can run a different OS then your Host Computer has. Then all you do is use AirCrack

Or you could use kismac so you don't have to worry about VMWare if you are new with other OS's.

Try find a packet sniffer (for windows theres cain and abel, i think it's on mac as well) theres a ton of tuts on how to hack passwords using packet sniffers but it only works with some encryptions. Just google it.
