(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey everyone, pretty depressed :P

I got a keylogger/virus on my laptop, and like a retard,
He deleted my system 32 thingy, cos its funny?

Now, it says I need a copy of the file,
How do I get this, or how do I re-install windows!?

Please reply, +REP as much as I can if it works <3

You either need:
1. A full system restore disk
2. Download a new operating system, burn it to cd/dvd and run while the computer is botting up.
3. If your computer can still logon, try start->All programs->Accessories->system tools and run system restore. On system restore roll back your computer to before it had the virus, this should remove and restore your old files.

So, I burn Ubuntu onto my disc, put it in the disc tray.
With the laptop on, turn it off, on and keep tapping F2?

I appreciate this +REPP Upside Down Happy

I think what you're trying to say is that when you start windows, you get a black and white screen and it's advising you that something is wrong in the windows\systems32 folder.

Ubuntu has nothing to do with it, although it's so great and I'd defo have that over windows (I do)

Basically write out exactly what the error says, and let me know what OS you're on i.e Windows XP, or Window Vista and I will advise you what the best thing is to do. You might not need to do a full re-install yet, but if you're happy to do that I can help you with that as well.
