(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm wanting to learn Java as I've learned .Net completely and learned several things about C++ but I wish to go and learn something else. Reason why I want to learn Java is because I want to learn Java Lol.

I've been searching on the internet and I still can't find any half decent tutorials on basics, and when I do they are outdated.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction. I'm learning this myself and well don't want to pickup a guide that looks proper and get into it to find out the information is bad.

So please help.

Yes, but I would like something more well written out. A lot of the video's I find out there aren't exactly the best. I guess I'll use it for now, but I would like the text to be able to read and follow. Something printable, you know.

If I read it over and over I can remember faster than visually seeing it. Figuring it for myself is far greater than having someone put a hand on my hand.

I'll check it out. I'm wanting to become a cop later in life, but as a backup I want to learn programming. I've got the ambition for both lol. It would be faster if I had an instructor, but all I have is a old ass computer and myself. So yea.

Having an old PC is a good thing, i have one right next to me. Just to **** around on. so IF it does **** up, then oh well :y:

Yea, well it has 512 mb of ram on it. It's good for learning on + If I get viruses or whatever I just do wipe it and reinstall everything and have it working in 6 hours.
