To be honest, I do want something like this to be stickied in the Computer Hacking Question Section as it is needed.
The reason is to prevent people from asking questions that have already been asked many many times before.
You say they will use the search feature, well if they have already posted the same thing 50 times, I doubt they are using it. If they had one convenient thread to look into, maybe then we could get some real questions asked rather than someone asking how to hack a GFs Facebook account.

(If you wish to write anything up, write it up, comment and quote me. If I like it, I will add it with full credit to you. This is not just my thread, it's everyone's)

COMPUTER HACKING QUESTIONS FAQ

Moderators, I am looking for this to be stickied as one is needed. There are so many questions on things like IP Addresses and Hacks that have been repeated over and over that it isn't funny.

Table of contents:

1) Ip Adresses
2) Steam Hacks
3, 3a) Facebook
4) Hashes

1) I have someones IP address, what can I do with it?
-Simply, the only thing you are actually able to do with that address is DDOS or DOS them. This act is illegal. Doing so may put you at risk for being reported and caught. If the police are involved and you are caught, you may find yourself in jail and under civil law suits.

2) I want to hack/modify my own steam account. How can I do this?
-Simply, there are no real Steam Hacks out there. Well, unless you are a pro hacker that can figure out and break through the mutliple algorathms they have developed in order to protect the information provided by users in their system and extract the content to either, steal or modify. If you are looking for one, please stop. You won't find one and all they will do is load a Trojan onto your computer and or steal your own Steam account.

3) How can I hack a Facebook page?
-You can only hack a Facebook page by:
A. Social Engineering
B. Keylogger
C. IStealer

All three are illegal. You may think A is not illegal but the malice acts of taking content and information that is not yours through manipulation is, in the United States, against the law. The police may be called on you if they know it is you that stole it.

3a) Someone has hacked my Facebook, how do I get it back.
-You can get the account back through the same methods provided by #3. B and C are illegal in this case, however A is not. If you know the person who stole your account, make attempts for a recovery, if no recovery is possible, contact your local police through a non-emergancy number with all the information and let them know you know who has stolen your account. If they do take action, the logs on the hacker is there and they can prosecute. (This is unlikely but still possible).

4) Encrypt/Decrypt Hashes
-If you have not done any research you wouldn't know that the reason that when you encrypt something into a Hash is that it cannot be decrypted. The only way to know what is contained within the Hash is to compare it to a large databank of other hashes generated and uploaded by other users that have been confirmed to contain exact characters.

Most common hashes are SHA1, MD5 & DES. Although there is more, the chances of you knowing what is contained in that line of QUOTE is nearly impossible as all it takes is an extra "a" to change the entire hash line making it uncomparable.

This isn't a question, however feel free to refer users to here as you deem necessary in the questions section.

I understand this was not in the correct place but having a thread, possibly stickied, in that section for people to refer to rather than having to ask multiple questions over and over again is redundant. I am putting together more and more and plan to answer as many questions and add them to this thread.

With an ultimate thread, this could essentially rid of those same old questions "How to hack Facebook" and such.

This would mean two things,

The section would only consist of legit questions of value, less crap in that section that has been asked many times before. It also means something that people can refer to in case they have a question and want an answer, they could just check it out and see if their question is already answered and then not have to make a thread or spend a lot of time sifting through all the other threads reading each post/threads individually with the possibility of no answer being found/given.

It's the reason why I have this thread.

You see now as to why I posted it there.

Also, if the IP is on your network, such as in school, you can remote shut them down
