what is the package you have, post an amazon link so we can see. but im sure you have check to make sure that the subwoofer is plugged and everything. is this one where the speakers run through the subwoofer?

I have the same setup, works fine. Make sure you have your wires in the right places. Since its a new system it should work fine, you can try using it on another computer to see if your computer is the problem.
