Post: Need help with virus

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I got a virus from confusings cod aw tool and it took my internet away and my "administrative rights". I can't open any virus programs due to not being administrator or "the file does not exist"
I am connected to wifi with limited connection. I get a "windows up address not configured" error when running diagnostic but it's all set up good. I finally got malwarebytes to open and ran a scan in safe mode and it did not detect a single item. When I log into my computer I get a weird error saying windows can't open taskeng.exe located in my temp files, although that is not in my files as I keep deleting temp files. I do have something mbam-killer somewhere on my PC. I am getting frustrated as I am running out of options. I already did a system restore several times although thee virus doesn't go away!

Install Malware Bytes, see if that finds it.

Try going through your task manager and see if anything doesn't look right. If you see something end the process.

Instead of doing a system restore, just format and re-install completely.

If you're still having issues, just re-install the OS fresh. Don't bother using restores. Save your data and just transfer, make sure the data you save is clean though.
