At least I can fight
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I used to use my kingston300 (120gb) ssd for windows booting but i had the opportunity to buy a samsung 850 evo 250gb so i went ahead and got it.
Now after re-installing windows , drivers and programs the boot time really went up :/.
From 7-8 seconds to 15-16 seconds, it never had needed the time to reach the full windows logo upon boot but now it does and stays there for a few seconds :(.
The drivers are alle the same (installed with msi liveupdate) and windows is the same version i used before too.
AS SSD shows a score of 1100 for my 850evo and 390 for my kingston.
Does anybody know or have any suggestions on why it's "so slow"and how to make it faster?
Thanks in advance for the people who read/reply ! Smile

Do you have the Samsung Disk Magician installed? You could run some bench marks on the drive with that and also run through the wizard to "optimize" windows for the SSD.

did that, the benchmark results went up bigtime yet the boottime for windows is still the same :/

(cpu , mobo , gpu benchmarks etc are all higher as well)
I just dont get it Xd

Its not a massive difference, would understand if your waiting like a minute or a few...

Think thats the standard boot time for your machine.

guess so
and ofc i cant complain but i still think its odd that a "lesser"/cheaper ssd had a faster boottime.
thats why asked on here ^^
