When I download and , download vmware it doesn't give me the vmware program and I can't open the files it says search for program to open the file..?

An ISO is an image. If you are trying to install this as a virtual machine you need software to do that. Either use VMWare player or Virtualbox. Both of those will allow you to set up a virtual machine and you would use that ISO to install the OS to it.
