I just want to know if it is possible for someone to monitor my computer history without and software on my computer???

Information: I'm living with -redacted- while -redacted-. We are currently getting a new router and modem which I will change the log in information and only I will know it.

Why I'm asking: -redacted- "be mindful of your emails -redacted- bought some kind of spy program to monitor the computers -redacted- ."

I have a password on my computer and scan it everyday, and every other day I scan with other various programs I also check recently new programs.

Conclusion: I just want to know if it is possible for someone to monitor my computer history without any software on my computer??? I am not visiting any bad websites it's just that if I'm paying for the internet access I have a right to my privacy!!

If you have mac or windows then it would be quite easy to crack your password and install a keylogger. With that they could get into anything you've logged into recently - including email, NGU, porn sites, etc. He won't be able to get any information on the sites you've been visiting as long as your router is password protected and YOU pay the bill. So basically, if he knows what he is doing then it is possible as long as he has physical access to your computer.

even if they had physical access, I don't think it'd work to well.. I have a physical kill-switch on my pc. and a couple software kill-switches.

All he has to do is wait until you're not around, run ophcrack on a livecd, and then he can log on to your account. All he has to do then is hide a keylogger.

I lost my password on my computer once and I had to figure out how to get it back. Keyloggers are pretty much common knowledge Smile.

How exactly would he gain access to your computer if he has no software on it AND no physical access.

Also elf I highly doubt his moms BF is computer savvy enough to crack the password.

All he would have to do is google "How to crack a password and (insert program name)"
